>>1715Of which series?
G1 has too many good ones. Hoist Goes Hollywood is peak G1 but I love Season 3 almost in its entirety. Golden Lagoon probably has my favorite music and story. God Gambit is great just for Astrotrain.

>>1722I'll check their tags on pixiv then.
It's a shame that their dynamic wasn't explored more in the show, this is afaik the only genuine moment of cross faction friendship, I guess it wasn't black and white enough for the showrunners.
I like to think they bonded over being outcasts, with Sandstorm struggling to find his place among the Autobots who blew up his planet (while he was already a bit of an oddball among the Paradronians) and Octane who was banished from the Decepticons for serving his own interests.
No.1743
>>1742I would love him if it weren't for his fans kinning him or selfshippers trying to push narratives that are not there.
Starscream being a POS who gets his shit punched in is both funny and entertaining. No one is trying to write some deep allegory outside of Armada where it had genuine relevance. I would probably have latched on to him as a favorite if his fans actually engaged with the show.
No.1748
Valveplug has been disparaged to death but it is the most annoying thing. I know that it's the fandom default now, but I'm confused why even gay artists are drawing it. Gay men aren't attracted to pussy. That's why they're gay. So why is a gay artist drawing so much pussy.
I could get it if it was like commission art where it isn't up to you, or a job. But why make straight porn like that?
No.1749
Why is Vortex characterized like a rapist (or at least a mech with weird kinks) in fics? Is this because of some IDW fuckery?
No.1750
>>1749Depends when it was written. If its older (pre 2009), then its because of the Marvel comics. Newer is IDW though.
No.1776
>>1743I needed a long time to get into him because for the agenda-driven fans he has. Once you learn to form your own opinion he's actually cool as fuck. A true gay asshole who bounces back and forth between being a narcissistic solo and an obsessive lover-hater of the guy that outdoes him. Similar to Ogata, actually. It helps that some of the content with him and Megatron is just gay as fuck and I am not even talking about Roche's Spotlight issue.
Makes me wish I could get into the new comics. Maybe I should give it a third go. The first ~23 issues I read didn't work for me and somehow felt all the same, in some weird way. But maybe it's better when I read 10+ issues at once. I just hope they stop that trend of killing bots in every issue before you even have the chance to develop sympathies for them.
>>1742>The Starscream abuse compilation that got me into the franchise has been deletedHow come? A dying HDD or an old artist account that was nuked?
No.1777
>>1776It was just a youtube video that compiled almost all the moments in G1 when he got bullied by Megatron, beat up by the autobots and generally getting humiliated (like those times when a snake or crocodiles attack him), it just got deleted or it was removed, no idea why. It was a pretty popular video so hopefully someone will reupload it.

Lurker here, is there a specific cartoon or comic anons would recommend to someone wanting to get into vehicle-man yaoi? All I've seen from the franchise so far is Transformers One (liked it) and the first Michael Bay movie (hated it)
No.1809
>>1805Although I'm not personally a fan of it, Prime is probably the best overall series. It's a great starting point that's enjoyable even to someone who doesn't know much about Transformers. If that doesn't vibe with you, then I'd try Animated (which is excellent, but better if you're more familiar with the other series), and then the original series, G1 (silly 80s cartoon; you could even try and catch the '86 movie in theaters this weekend, but you'll be a little lost in the plot).
You can try the Marvel comics from the 80s, or Armada, or even Beast Wars, all of which are excellent, but are sometimes an acquired taste. Prime is probably your best bet.
No.1810
>>1805Watch everything. You'll find something that really speaks to you. I started with Animated, and it didn't really click. Prime is what really got me to ship Megop but I also ended up liking pairings from other series that no one talked about. Like Megaratch and these two brothers.
Also curb the expectation for yaoi, all the porn is cuntboy and only 4 people produce anything that isn't.

The Naruto read through is super cute, and is giving me the idea of some sort of G1 watch along, like, we watch an episode or two a week, like Saturday morning cartoons. It could be through cytube as a stream, or just on our own time, and then discussed afterwards. Would anyone be interested in something like that?

>>1812I've never touched transformers in my life kek, but that sounds like a cool way to get introduced! I want to know what you slashformers are talking about…

Did you manage to catch a screening of the movie? I did, and while I had already seen it it was truly special to see it in theatres with other fans only (the age range was quite diverse, there were OG fans, millenials like me, zoomers, kids…). I brought my Megatron and Starscream so they could see themselves die lol.
>>1812Great idea, I would love to talk about it with other fans, and it would boost the thread.
No.1815
>>1805For me it's the IDW comics. Besides of IMO great stories and characters they're also canonically gay and contain a bunch of yanhomos on top of that.
Think the best way to start would be Last Stand of the Wreckers, since it's a more or less separated story, it's short (five comic issues IIRC), fantastically drawn and it gets the essence of the effects of war crimes across that corrupts or traumatizes the bad guys as much as the good guys.
Also it has a fantastic creepy piece of shit villain who is one of the most popular bots among fujos in Asia. It's also good to read before the main series of IDW because that way your reaction to that guy eventually popping up in the More than Meets the Eye series will be very different (and better).
If you want to start with something more light-hearted you can watch the new One movie(also works well as introduction to the franchise), Cyberverse (the humor is a bit silly but once the plot starts it gets pretty good and it's just 11-minute episodes) or (more serious and pretty popular among fans) Transformers Prime.

>>1816Considering how abundant TFsonas are and how OC art follows the same design conventions, yes.
Fans react to humans in universe the same way furries react to human presence on furrafinity. All animal-robot except for their 100% human genetalia with the exception of horses. People made fun of Brony culture but all the girls went to Transformers to do everything that they did.
No.1818
>>1816Lmaooooo, I don't think it's *wrong*, per say. At the end of the day, Gundam and Transformers tell different stories. In Gundan, the robots are like cool cars, and in Transformers, the cars are people. I think it's more akin to a series about an alien species than anything else. Avatar but they're also Hondas.

>went to Transformers to do everything that they did.Robots are more based than ponies though, the skies the limit… I hope you guys are getting creatively dranw/written smut at least. Is DP a staple?
>>1818That makes sense, in gundham the interest in the story is separate from the hobby collecting (Gunpla) but in Transformers the whole thing was that it was a toy given lore so the two are mixed.

>>1817>People made fun of Brony culture but all the girls went to Transformers to do everything that they did.Yeach, but you can google pictures of Starscream without immediately getting flashbanged by porn.
You've got to scroll down at least a little.
>>1820> I hope you guys are getting creatively dranw/written smut at least. Is DP a staple?Transformers smut is a varied and strange thing. There are two broad categorizes, Sticky (they have dicks and vags, and sometimes assholes. This is inundated by cuntboy at this point in time), and Non-Sticky (everything else-they plug into each other with wires, they transmit radio signals, they bond their sparks/souls together, heavy petting, etc). DP's got it's place in either iteration, but sometimes it looks like 2dicks1puss, and sometimes it looks like picrel.

>>1814>Did you manage to catch a screening of the movie? Yes! It was so much fun! It was like going to the TF Movie quote along at TFcon, but cheaper and less of a drive. I brought a toy and got some odd looks from the 50yo men who made up the majority of the audience.

>>1822>I brought a toy and got some odd looks from the 50yo men who made up the majority of the audienceWhat a bunch of losers, at my screening most people had brought toys or were wearing some kind of apparel, I even received compliments for my plushies, and I don't even live in a country that's huge on Transformers.

>>1816Kind of. I mean you cannot really compare them. TF fans usually like mech and vice versa, but TFs are fully sentient robots and basically metal humans while Gundams are magical machines with a pilot. Series like Bravern are more likely to attract the same fanbase.
>>1817Oh yeah I hate OC culture. TF already has so many fantastic characters with cool designs, I don't get such types of fans never find any canon character to latch onto and instead come up with some crappy literally-you tumblr bot.
Outside of the self-inserters I think TF culture is based though because where else do you get porn fics in which a guy like Pharma fucks the detached body of the dude he's into while the latter's head is forced to watch?
