Finally got around to Coyote vs. ACME, cute movie. I think my brain is broken though since I ended up preferring Avery and Coyote.
One of my favorite things about the film was how they fleshed out Coyote (and to a lesser extent Roadrunner) while still being well within the Looney Tunes world and pre-established characterization. I was never the biggest fan of the Coyote/Roadrunner shorts compared to other pairs like Daffy/Porky, Bugs/Elmer, or even Sylvester/Tweety since neither party in the Coyote shorts could talk and I found them a bit boring compared to the verbal humor of the other characters. It's just pure slapstick you know? But I thought this movie really used his expressions to their fullest and especially the
confrontation in the hotel at Washington was really effective.
>>1808>>1807It was a great role for him, his whole personality oozes scummy self-interest, even in the shorts. I was glad I didn't have his appearance spoiled.
