The early afternoon was spent on the sofa, all frustrations evaporated and replaced with pleasant warmth and delight. Their kisses frenzied and softened back and forth, unable to get enough of one another. The years of exile meant nothing and meant everything at the same time. Time needed to be cherished and savored. Any moment, a natural blink or a darted glance, and their beloved would disappear.

They laid beside one another, the stench of sex and sweat thick on their flesh and tongues. Vincent cuddled behind Daniel, arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer as if he would be taken away and never returned. He kissed and sucked around Daniel’s nape, saying nothing in particular but hushed whispers.

After a short nap, they had sex in the shower and dressed in old sleepwear. Daniel grimaced at the dirtied floor and furniture knowing no one else but himself would take care of the mess. If there was a next time, it would be on the bed where he could change the sheets easily and not worry about the upholstery.

“Always a busybody.” Vincent laughed from the kitchen, opening the cabinets. “I can call someone to do that for you.”

“And see the jizz all over the floor and sofa? Are you daft?”

“Who cares!”

“I care!”

“Come help me cook. You have a kettle?”

“Just a regular stovetop kettle.”

Vincent winced. “No electric? With the different temperatures? You’re going to burn the leaves.”

How do you all go about researching medical conditions for sickly yaoi boys? I want to draw fantasy magical sci-fi medical equipment that feels less costume-y and more like picrel. I also drew something yesterday and could post in the OC thread for feedback

That aside, wiki and mayo are good for the broad picture of most diseases. If you're interested in specific diseases, there's a ton of very good narrative nonfiction out there. Anything by Richard Preston (ebola, smallpox) is good. It'll usually be about specific outbreaks of disease, but its more digestible (and entertaining) for a layman, than reading a medical journal.

The lore was that these underwater humanoids had societies in each of the oceans and the capital was in the Atlantic Ocean with the totally original name Atlantica, lol. Depending on which ocean they were from, their ear shape reflected it, Alpha is from Atlantica, Omega from the Oceania region and Sigma is from the artic. The basic plot was that in highest position is held in Atlantica but it's a two-person position to prevent corruption. So two rulers for the oceans (all the oceans have governors). The two kings are watched by a council too.

Alpha was a nepo baby and Omega was descendant of an old king. Former wanted to be a governor, not a king, but the latter was raised to become one.

IIRC the plot was basically Alpha wanting to get rid of Omega because he thinks he's annoying and hated the two king system.

Samefag again. I was very prolific in making all sorts of stories.
This one was around 2004. The idea was that the construction worker dude found an injured bird when he was touring in Cambodia and took care of it by giving her food, water, and a safe place to rest. When he goes back home, the bird appears but turns out she was a phoenix. Later on her sisters come in to move in with him as thanks for helping their little sister, but there is no romance between them. They have no sexual or romantic interest in him and the guy is gay. The dude in the second image is the son of the construction company CEO and is a brat.

tl;dr, they strike a friendship and the boss' son later gets down on his luck and ends up moving with the MC. The phoenixes initially dislike him because all he does is eat the MC's food and not pay bills, etc. So the ML feels guilty. I never got too far with the idea since I was just churning a bunch of silly stories at a time. All I knew was that they got together in the end and the phoenixes would bless their relationship so they'd have lots of luck and love even in the next life together.

This was basically my way of shitting on the rampant harem garbage of the early 2000s and gave it a twist with two boys kissing and the girls going "No way fag."

AYRT, I was so happy to see this! You inspired me to try and get some sketches down, with stalker boy based on your design. I'll experiment with the others tomorrow, and if nonas would like to share, I'd like advice on the character designs.

I spent a long time fleshing out a post-apocalyptic (due to worsening environment, not war) and got some ideas for it over time. One of them is a horror (body, psychological) BL that punishes certain kinds of men into becoming more "pleasant." They are ranked after being processed to start their new life as a redeemed(lol) man. As an example, after processing, if their ikemen value is low, but their body is high with great athleticism, they may be sent into combat sports. The ones with true talent in any area have the highest rank.

It's almost the opposite of >>12, as there's no reprogramming men to become gay; more like they might be made to do gay things to entertain. The ones who are more enthusiastic about it gain more freedom; but the ones who don't, if they don't maintain enough points within a time period, are offered as gifts to the highest ranking men, or auctioned off.

Many of them hope to be released by the woman in their lives that they've wronged; but they are there because the harmed they've caused was significant to the woman's life and well being (as opposed to a mild insult that would have the same meaning if a man were on the other end; even a sexist remark wouldn't cause this, but it is a red flag. A woman can record the frequency and turn them in.). At the very least, they hope a woman buys them. The ones actually attracted to men don't mind it too much and don't spend much time at the bottom.

The ML is right at the very top. No one knows what's up with him. But he's sweet, pure-looking (like Xie Lian kind of pure, idk), and admired. He visits all of the men before their processing and gives them hope before leaving.

I haven't decided on who will end up with the ML. I thought it might be fun to figure that out while working on each character's situation. I'm planning for 8, but just fleshing out four for the time being. A situation that suddenly doesn't work for one guy ends up jumping into another one's.

Post-apoc setting is necessary for this. There is a big societal reset in progress.

You can probably see elements of things like Ai no Kusabi in there, but I've always preferred BL/yaoi with more sci-fi and fantasy elements.
Per my outline, this might veer right into yaoi hentai and some notes edge on guro. I just let the ideas flow. Curious where it'll end.

Man, I try to keep positive, but lately I felt very disappointed in my skill. I feel like I'll never be as good as I want to be, so why even bother? I know it's just a passing feeling, but it's hard to be optimistic in the face of it. I'm just digitally surrounded by out of this world artists.

I think that despite anime and japanese games having become mainstream by now there's still a lot of westerners stuck in the mindset that they have to be ironic about liking japanese things because deep down they still think that people who like anime are degenerates and they don't want to be associated with that.

This is definitely happening, but even before current AI most game platforms were filled with low effort porn games, most using stock realistic 3D models. I would guess that it's now easier to make anime style 2D hentai games specifically due to the ease of generating art. The stuff that was on the top rated page on itch specifically looked at least hand drawn, probably there since before porn game monetization was removed. There's also still more yandere stuff on that page than hentai though kek.

Part of it is westerners making baby's first VN feel like they need to be clever and subvert tropes when they may have never even read a VN before themselves, and then add on people specifically feeling like they need to subvert 'toxic BL' tropes.
But there is definitely more genuine stuff that's just like a standard BLVN than it seems, it's just that the meme games are the only ones that blow up into mainstream.
